CPE Courses (Dates and Locations)
NB: Before beginning any CPE courses, applicants are required to be immunised against, or show evidence of immunity to:
- Covid-19 (fully vaccinated)
- VPD’s ( Whooping Cough, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Chicken Pox) and
- Hepatitis B (at least 2 of 3 injections before commencing).
Applicants who intend to complete the practicum elements of CPE within a hospital need to provide evidence of a current Blue Card with their application.
CPE and Covid-19
CPE is based on the action-reflection-action process. Depending on Covid-19 outbreaks and Qld Health responses, sometimes our participants are not able to complete all of the action/practical component of CPE in Qld hospitals.
Unless you are employed as a Chaplain/Pastoral Carer, or you have guaranteed access to recipients of pastoral care, you will not be able to complete CPE.
We are trying to provide CPE training wherever it is needed in Qld. Please contact our Secretary, Annie, to discuss the possibilities.
